How to report a bug in dotTools

Report a bug from the product

Each tool has a built-in problem report form:

• dotTrace and dotMemory Help | Feedback Center -> Submit Feedback or Report a bug
• dotCover and dotPeek: Help | Submit Feedback, then the Problem Report tab

Report a bug in YouTrack

Each tool has its own YouTrack project. Open the new issue form for the tool:

• Report a dotTrace bug
• Report a dotMemory bug
• Report a dotCover bug
• Report a dotPeek bug

1. Enter a summary and a description of the bug.
2. Check the Similar Issues and Articles section below the description. It lists existing issues that may describe the same bug.
   
3. If an existing issue matches, vote for it instead of creating a new one. Add a comment that describes the use case.
   
4. If no issue matches, or the section does not appear, click Create.
