No way to close Profiling Controller?
Am I missing something obvious, or is there no way to close the Profiling Controller window, short of killing the process in Task Manager?

Indeed there is no way to close profiling controller in Tracing or Line-by-line profiling modes. Detaching is technically impossible in these profiling modes, and as we integrate profiling core into a profiled application, it is highly not recommended to use the application after profiling is finished, so the only available button, in this case, is "Kill".
Detach is available in Sampling or Timeline profiling modes.
