dotTrace says no user code running but cpu at 100%?

I have a c# 2010 app.  Which when run on some end user computers runs a singel core of the processor up to 100%.

It does nto do this on all custoemr machines, and on none of the development machines.

I installed dotTrace, and used the remote agent to run the app on a system that exhibit this sypmtoms.

When I look at the trace, even when the cpu at 100%, the trace, shows little to no user code running, at the methods that are running are on system timers.  They run for about 3ms, once every 30 seconds.  There is no other user code listed.

I have tried to configure dottrace in sampling and line by line mode, but the results are similar.

I am at a loss of how an app can consume so much cpu, adn dottrace not find any code.

I welcome any and all suggestions.

I attempted to upload the file several times and always failed.  So I have uploaded it to my dropbox.  The link for you to download the file is https://www.dropbox.com/s/zjbdvul8kxc2t1c/DumpFIles.zip

Thanks

Dear Mark,

Core logs are always downloaded from the remote computer. Could you add also logs from your client computer (where dotTrace UI is)?

Hi,

I emailed the link to the files to you.  Did you receive them?  This problem is causing me huge problems, and I need to know if JetBrains can help me fix the problem, or should I look elsewhere?

Many thanks

To see if the lack of data was caused by logging on a remote system, I installed dotTrace on the local machine.  Although I am still at a loss to find where my code is causing this problem, all the hot spots appear to be purchased libraries.

I have put the dump and the log files in dropbox, the link to download them is https://www.dropbox.com/s/e93l5w7u0ne1dau/Sample1.zip

If you could just point me in the irght direction I would be very grateful.

Thanks

Dear Mark,

Unfortunately, there isn't core logs insight. I see that you didn't enable core logs as described in instructions above.

Sorry, my mistake. I was trying to make a new trace for you, and I forget to select those options.

Please find the new trace at https://www.dropbox.com/s/sx65qtdl4qtbuli/Sample2.zip

I really appreciate your help with this.

Best regards

Mark

Dear Mark,

I looked at your snapshot and core logs. The managed part only processes windows messages and change timer.
I'm sorry, but your problem isn't in managed code. Our profiler can't help you.

Mikhail Pilin
