Azure Web App performance profiling with dotTrace

Hi guys,

In the dotTrace profiler's documentation I can not find how to profile Azure Web Apps and Azure ServiceFabric apps. I found some old documentation that suggests to install Nuget package to the app and then connect with remote profiler. But it seems that Nuget package was not updated for a long time and this is obsolete way to profile Azure Web Apps.

Assuming that I can not RPD to the machine which is running my app, what should I do in order to be able to use dotTrace remote profiler with Azure Web Apps?

Would it be possible to share a bit more light here - are there any technical/technology blockers that prevent from doing profiling in the cloud?

Hi Anton,

 

Unfortunately currently dotTrace can't profile Azure Web Apps hosted on cloud machines without RDP access. We have plans about support such apps but I can't say for sure when they will be implemented.
