Saved snapshot could not be opened with "Snapshot has unknown or unsupported format" message

Sometimes after profiling and saving a snaphsot to disk it cannot be opened.
The following error message appears "Snapshot has unknown or unsupported format"
We can provide more details if needed.

Please use the last release build of dotTrace 4.0 http://download.jetbrains.com/dottrace/dotTracePerformanceSetup.4.0.665.4.msi
Or I would recommend you dotTrace 4.5 http://confluence.jetbrains.net/display/NetProf/dotTrace+4.5+Nightly+Builds

You are free to simply use your license server with 4.0 license inside.
