Newbie question

I apologize if I hit the wrong forum.

I just downloaded the dotTrace Memory profiler and am trying to capture memory utilization of a Windows Service.  I have not problems running a profile but the only option in the "Control Profiling" window is to "Stop WS".  All other options and greyed out and the status says "Connecting" and never changes state.  The service is running and appears to be functioning normally.  What would I be overlooking?  I didn't see anything in the help regarding this condition.
