Crashing on export attempt

Whenever I attempt to export to a VS project or .pdb, dotPeek gets to around ~99% and then crashes.

An unhandled Microsoft .NET Framework exception occured in dotPeek64.exe [1608].

What other debugging info do you need? I've attached a few events, but I honestly don't really know Windows that well.

I've attached AppCrash_dotPeek64.exe_9781bf.tar.xz that should have all the crash information (minus the half a gigabyte memory dump). I found a second crash as well, but there's only the report.

Not sure why .zip is being added to the extensions, seems to be the forum doing that.

The crash is not because of a network drive either; I tried copying all the files to the local hard disk and dotPeek still crashes.

I'm also having this issue; when decompiling an EXE, it hangs for a bit and then crashes.

(dotPeek v10.0.2 x64)

Are you running DotPeek in VirtualBox as well?

No, natively in Windows 7.

I'm going to try running the 32-bit version and see if the problem persists.

Update:

Crashes about half way of the export in both 32-bit and 64-bit v10.0.1

Update2:

Crashes about half way of the export in both 32-bit v10.0.2

Update3:

Success with v1.2!! I'm not sure what broke in between versions...

So v10, v1.5 and v1.4.3 crash too?

I didn't try actually; I just went to an older version. Would it help to try and see which version it broke in?

I had this exact same issues when attempting to decompile a dll on Windows 7 x64.

I tried every version from this page, and 1.2 was the most recent release that worked.

Below are the versions where it would crash:

  • 10.0.2
  • 10.0.1
  • 10
  • 1.5
  • 1.4.3
