.NET Framework issue when installing

Hello, I'm trying to install dotMemory on a machine and am getting the current warning.

I assume that the installer wants some slightly higher minor version of 4.7.2 than 4.7.2053 which is what we have installed.

We don't want to update .NET framework on this machine for some reasons; would it OK to continue installing dotMemory? Thank you.

Well, I decided there would be no harm in just installing it and running so I proceeded, and get the error in the attached text file:

Any suggestions on getting this installed to see if it works, would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Andrew,

4.7.2053 is not a minor version of .NET Framework 4.7.2, this version corresponds to .NET Framework 4.7. According our system requirements, all dotUltimate products require at least .NET Framework 4.7.2 to be installed.

If .NET Framework update is not an option, please use another PC to use dotMemory product.

.NET Framework 4.7.2 requirement takes a place starting with the 2021.2 releases. Earlier versions of our .NET tools continue to work on .NET Framework 4.6.1. You can also try to use 2021.1 or earlier if you need to profile on this particular machine: Other Versions - dotMemory (jetbrains.com)

Hi Anna, thanks for explaining, I didn't know how those version numbers work.

We'll try with the dotMemory 2021.1 first, and if any trouble with that, we will see about updating the computer's framework version. I was just hoping to leave the computer itself unchanged, that's all.

Thank you!
